Children's Programs
Sulzbacher is committed to providing services that meet the unique needs of the children we serve. Through a variety of fun and educational activities, the Children's Programs at Sulzbacher Village are focused on laughter, learning, and innovative educational experiences. The focus is on ensuring students feel safe as they learn how to enjoy themselves and have fun while experiencing new concepts in education.
The Crawford Early Learning Center (CELC) is a nationally accredited, Five-Star–rated early learning program committed to serving children and families residing at Sulzbacher Village and within the surrounding community. CELC provides comprehensive early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, grounded in a therapeutic, developmentally responsive approach.
The program intentionally integrates developmentally appropriate instruction, parent engagement, and therapeutic play into the daily structure, with enriched experiences that include STEAM learning and gardening. CELC operates using a multi-generational model, embedding both therapeutic health and behavioral supports to address the whole child and family.
These services are delivered in partnership with the Child Guidance Center to ensure children receive integrated mental health and behavioral support. Additional early learning services are provided through collaborations with Episcopal Children’s Services, including Head Start and Early Head Start programs, as well as partnerships with the Early Learning Coalition of Duval and Kids Hope Alliance.
Together, these partnerships strengthen CELC’s mission to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed early education that supports children, families, and the broader community.

After School Programming
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade have access to after-school support from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday during the school year. The afternoon starts with a snack and a focus on homework. Students have access to computers, group sessions, and one-on-one tutoring when needed.
Extracurricular activities are brought into the center to extend learning opportunities through partnerships that include: The Humane Society, Healthy Eating with The Junior League, Leadership building with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and robotics and science with STEM2Hub.
The program centers on ensuring all students stay in step with their class and have access to resources that will support their future education. They will be familiar with anything they encounter in their school setting.
