Culinary Arts Program
Many of the most successful chefs started as cooks, which is a wonderful way to establish yourself in the culinary industry and gain the experience needed to obtain a better job. High-end restaurants expect candidates to have some culinary education as well as food handler certifications.
The Sulzbacher Culinary Arts Program (CAP) will qualify you for apprenticeships in food preparation and provide an opportunity for meaningful employment in the food industry. CAP is a 15-week course made up of 12 training modules taught in the Sulzbacher Culinary Classroom and kitchens, along with a 3-week externship at a local restaurant. Students receive real-life, fast-paced training from our knowledgeable chief instructor. Our goal is to train students as Prep Chefs, teaching them culinary arts skills so they can pursue life-sustainable careers. This class is open to the community!
